The solar panel collects the suns rays and converts
it into heat. A solar collector panel consists of
three components.
- Glass or glazing to allow sunshine to pass thru
- Collector plate to capture sun's energy
- Ducts or pipes to ransfer heated medium
Optimal direction is due south. Installation 20
degress east or west of due south results in a 5
percent decrease in performance.
Optimum angle is latitude plus 10 degrees. A tilt of
plus or minus 10 degrees from this number results in a
3 percent decrease in performance. |
